Welcome to the Australian Script Centre. You will find hundreds of production-ready and professionally written contemporary plays on this site. All are unpublished and unavailable through bookshops, which means you can only buy them here. New titles are regularly added to our catalogue and if there is a contemporary Australian play that you can’t find, we will do our best to help you find it. Also available are our published play anthologies, the latest of which is Collection #6.

The site is easy to use, whether you know what you are looking for or just want to browse our list of over 900 plays. You can also search by playwright. Use the advanced search to search for plays by by style, subject, cast size, play length, target audience, or cast age.

If you are a regular visitor to this site you will notice many changes over the coming months. Soon we will be offering full script downloads for many of our plays, as well as free extracts to read before you buy.
