OUR MISSION: To connect theatre producers, directors, actors, readers and educators from across the world with contemporary Australian performance writing.
The ASC collects, promotes and distributes contemporary Australian play scripts for stage and radio. Australia has a strong and continuing tradition of fine writing for the theatre, but very few plays are published commercially. Essentially, the ASC provides a distribution service for the many wonderful plays that are not published but deserve to be staged, studied and read for years to come.
The ASC is a non-profit association of individuals and organisations committed to supporting Australian writing for performance. Join to receive generous discounts on scripts and publications. The membership is worldwide and includes playwrights, theatre makers, teachers and students of drama, as well as schools, universities, theatre companies and other organisations.
