Privacy Policy

The Australian Script Centre (ASC) has developed this policy to ensure that the privacy of all individuals using this website is protected according to the National Privacy Principles, Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988.

The ASC will not share your personal details with anyone, including any other organisation, without your consent.

Why do we collect information?

The ASC collects different types of information about visitors to www.ozscript.org for two main reasons:

  1. To provide a range of services, including an online script sales service.
  2. To help us improve our website and other services offered by the centre.

What information do we collect?

Personal information collected through the website is treated confidentially and we only ask you to provide details that are required by us in the normal course of our business.

Access to the website is free and you are not required to register your details unless you choose to access a particular service. Details required include your name and contact details, and when purchasing an online product we will also require your credit card details. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

Occasionally, we might collect personal information through online surveys and polls. Other data collected by us includes aggregate information measuring the amount of traffic to our site, countries that site visitors originate from and the most visited pages within the site.

Will we share your information?

The ASC will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others unless you have given us your permission. With your permission we will only share the information with carefully chosen, reputable and trustworthy third parties. Also, the ASC may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

The ASC follows the relevant legal requirements and uses all reasonable precautions to ensure only responsible third parties see the information, however we are not responsible for any breach of security or any actions of any third parties who receive the information.

We reserve the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate our systems properly and to protect both ourselves and our users.

Can you access your personal information?

Yes. To access your personal information held by the ASC please email your request to director@ozscript.org. The decision in relation to access will be based upon National Privacy Principle 6.

Is your personal information secure?

The ASC takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is held in a secure manner. The information held on our database is stored on offsite secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. ASC staff are bound by a confidentiality agreement and are therefore obliged to respect the confidential information held by the ASC.

However, security of communications over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, and therefore absolute assurance that information will be secure at all times cannot be given. The ASC will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to personal information.

When ordering products on the site we require your credit card information. We share only the information that is absolutely necessary with third parties involved in the processing of your order such as the credit card clearing house. All transactions between the parties mentioned and ourselves are done so in a secure fashion.

E-Mail/Online Forms

This site includes links for sending us an email message as well as online forms. We will use your email address to send you a reply and will retain your message only for later referral should you ever decide to contact us again. Your message and email address remain confidential unless you specifically give us permission otherwise.
