SHOE BIZ
A woman is standing in a shoe shop..... and has an epiphany of sorts. She finds herself wandering through her psyche as she grapples with the unresolved tensions of her sexual identity. Love, lust and the desire for security vie for dominance and the protagonist, known only as the Woman, must make her choice.
Shoe Biz is a short work that depicts familiar situations in unfamiliar ways. It is expressionistic rather than realistic, and employs movement, light and sound as well as the spoken word.
