We also thank the very wonderful Tony Phelps at Tweezy New Media and Gordon Harrison-Williams of Workhorse Design, without whose advice and generous support the centre would be lost.
Support us
The ASC is a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient status and endorsement for Charity Tax Concessions. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible and will go towards supporting and promoting the work of Australian playwrights.
The ASC collects outstanding Australian playscripts and works tirelessly to get them into the hands of producers, drama educators and theatremakers so that their value may be more widely recognised and appreciated. The ASC keeps great Australian playscripts in circulation long after the production season has finished. Without this service, a significant part of our literary and theatrical heritage would be lost. Many drama educators, students and theatre professionals consult the ASC’s current catalogue of more than 1,000 contemporary plays when selecting works for upcoming productions or courses of study. In addition to selling scripts, the ASC handles approximately 100 production enquiries per year in relation to plays in the catalogue.
If you would like to discuss making a donation or bequest, please email or telephone the Director on +61 3 6223 4675, or write to us at 77 Salamanca Place, Hobart, Tasmania 7004.
